Dr. Lawrence (Larry) Gaum is an oral surgeon who maintains a private practice in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He is a graduate of Dalhousie University Dental School in Noval Scotia, Canada, and was the recipient of several awards throughout his studies. He practiced general dentistry for fi ve years before taking his postgraduate training in Anesthesia and Oral Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh and the Wilmington Medical Centre in Delaware. He is a former Associate in Dentistry, University of Toronto, where he taught for over twenty years. He has lectured extensively throughout Canada, USA and numerous other countries, teaching his fellow dentists oral surgery, anaesthesia and pharmacology.

He has written a text book on oral surgery which is now in its second edition titled “Oral Surgery for the General Dentist.” He has produced a surgical video DVD which has received enormous positive feedback from the dental profession. He is a member of numerous dental associations in Canada, USA and Europe and is a life member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
